Center of Excellence for Academic Teaching and Learning - Ars Docendi UJ

Status

Center of Excellence for Academic Teaching and Learning - Ars Docendi UJ is a unit of the Jagiellonian University. The aim of the Centre is to improve the teaching competencies and professional development of academic staff and doctoral students of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.

The tasks

1. professional development of university teaching staff;

2. cooperation with foreign universities in developing teaching competences of university teachers;

3. leading and inspiring research in the field of academic teaching;

4. organization of conferences.

Workshops

We offer 30-hour basic course as well as some specialized courses (6 to 21 teaching hours) such as:

  • „Art of Presentation" two editions: 1. for humanities and social sciences, 2. for natural and exact sciences
  • „Art of Communication"
  • „How to design the course" two editions: 1. for humanities and social sciences, 2. for natural and exact sciences
  • „Intercultural Competence"
  • „Master-student relationship: coaching-mentoring-tutoring"
  • „Problem Based Learning"
  • „Evaluation of student progress in the area of knowledge, skills and social competences"
  • „The practical use of learning platform PEGAZ"
  • "Active methods of teaching and learning" two editions: 1. for humanities and social sciences, 2. for natural and exact sciences
